The Home School Support Center (HSSC) is the leading promoter and proponent of home education in Russia. Our task - aim is to set up an integrated, effective, and safe learning environment for homeschooling families. We are currently providing administrative, instructional -methodological , and legal support to parents who, exercising (using) their legal and natural right to educate their children, are making their first homeschooling steps both in Russia and worldwide.
MEET THE TEAM
HSSC was founded by a team of professionals with diverse academic and corporate credentials, and yet their biggest asset is the fact that they are all practicing homeschoolers within their large families.
Alexey is the Board Member of GHEC and General Director for Classical Conversations homeschool support & community in Russia and ex-USSR region.
Alexey is the World Congress of Families Representative in Russia and the CIS, and President of the FamilyPolicy.
Ru Advocacy Group. He has been the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the “Moscow Demographic Summit: Family and Future of Humankind” (June, 2011), and was one of the organizers of the “International Forum: Large Family and the Future of Humanity” (September 2014 in the Kremlin).
Alexey has previously worked in the areas of management and real estate consulting (founding partner of Integrity Consulting & Marketing Services), general management in FMCGs (Altria - Fortune Top 20 corporation), special events (congresses, exhibitions, large scale concerts, F1 championships), marketing and sales (Cushman & Wakefield - Big 4 in Commercial Real Estate), business development (Zurich Financial Services - Fortune 500) and show business projects (organizing events for 5000+ people).
MBA (Open University, Business School, UK), MA in US contemporary history (Moscow State Lomonosov University), Business Law and Corporate Finance (SUNY, Albany, NY, USA), Theology studies (St. Tikhon Orthodox University for Humanities) provide necessary background for the large scale international projects management. Alexey is the author of the book “Stock markets regulation in the USA and Russia” that has been published in 1998.
Guzel is a former CHRO of several major oil companies with more than 12 years of work experience, two university degrees, and a master’s degree at the Latvian Christian Academy currently in progress. She and her husband have five kids, two of whom are currently being homeschooled.
Zhanna has more than 8 years of work experience in major FMCG multinationals, two university degrees, and a Ph.D. in history. She had done research in reuniting families separated by World War II and is currently homeschooling her two kids with her husband.
Head of Academic Support
Tatyana is a professional economist with further education in pedagogics and psychology. She has more than 7 years of work experience in major HR companies. She also had more than 7 years of experience working as an educator, including teaching dysgraphic, dyslexic, and dyscalculic children. She is currently homeschooling a daughter.
Anastasia is a Russian Orthodox Church history and History of World Art teacher with a university degree in theology. Anastasia and her husband have seven kids, four of whom are being homeschooled.
Galina is a biology teacher with a university degree in pedagogics, currently studying for a Ph.D. in biology and nanotechnology. She has two children.
HSSC takes part in the Moscow International Education Fair’s Homeschooling: A New Educational Ecosystem program.
HSSC becomes 2018 Global Home Education Conference’s Strategic Partner, with the aim of introducing the Russian society to world’s best practices in home education. More...
HSSC spearheads and organises a homeschooling section at the Christmas Readings at Moscow’s Christ the Saviour’s Cathedral, Russia’s premier educational and cultural venue, marking the first time homeschooling received mainstream coverage.
